NVC Nagpur organized various awareness activities on occasion of World Zoonoses Day-202

The Department of Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Nagpur Veterinary College, MAFSU, Nagpur celebrated World Zoonoses Day -2026 on 6^th July 2026 under the aegis of Society for Research On Listeria (SRL), ICAR-All India Network Project on One Health (AINP-OH), DBT-Indo-UK Project on AMR, ICAR- Project on AMR , ICAR-ERAzTB Project and IAVPHS at Lodha, Taq-Ramtek, Dist-Nagpur. On the occasion, the various activities (painting, puzzle games, acting game and other recreational games) were conducted for the school children at Zilla Parishad, Aadarsha School, Lodha. Mr. Pranav from Mission Rabies along with the students conducted the ‘Puppet Show on Rabies’.The livestock owners were also invited and joined the awareness campaign in large number. On the occasion; Dr Nitin Kurkure, Director Research, MAFSU, Dr Jayant Korde, Associate Dean, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, Dr Sandeep Chaudhari, Professor & Head spoke on importance of the Day and other relevant aspects related with zoonoses and One Health. The ‘Hygiene Kits’ for the tribal livestock-owners and the medicines etc for the livestock were distributed at the hands of the Dr Kurkure and Dr Korde. The blood samples of the livestock owners as well as livestock were collected for screening of Zoonotic Diseases, if any. The smooth conduction was looked after by Dr Shilpshri Shinde, Dr Waqar Khan, Dr Manoj Patil and Dr Kranti Kharkar who were joined by Dr Shruti, Dr Aakansha, Dr Yashwarya, Mr Ayush and Mr Deepak. Efforts were taken by Shri. Uike, Sarpanch,Lodha, Shri Phulbel upaasarpanch,  Shri Kathale, School Principal and Shri Amit Saxena, Owner, Pench Adventure World and Agro Tourism, Sitapur for successful organization of the event.
